“I wrote this poem on May 20th, 2004 in a way to thank a certain AOD for all he has done for me in such a subtle way and even though the show is over the reruns help me through a lot of heartache and pain I had to go through throughout my life. Every person struggles otherwise we wouldn't be human. This is just a poem I needed to write one day.”

I lay in darkness with no hope.
Waiting for that final moment.
A light shines brightly warming me.
A man with a heavenly glow approaches.
He comes to protect me from the darkness that surrounds me.
I am in pain, but he helps me.
He holds me close saying I will never be alone.
We lay there I in his arms for minutes, hours, days, I cannot tell.
I am feeling weak, but the man tells me "be not afraid" as it isn't my time to go.
He tells me that I am loved by so many and leaving would not solve the pain I feel inside.
He kisses my forehead and comforts me until sunrise.

I awake to see his green eyes.
He speaks, "You have made it through the night"
He smiles and helps me walk out to the morning sun.
He guides me home.
I turn to bid farewell, instead he has gone.
My life renewed for another day.
He gives me strength and hope to face each new predicament.
Thank-you dear green eyes, for holding me, comforting me.
To make it through the dark once more.
